About us

MindUnity is a London based organisation offering support for people with mental health problems. With a focus on high quality care and a holistic approach to recovery, enabling people to move forward and achieve the most from life.

Founded by Gemma, an experienced mental health nurse with a particular interest in addictions. Originally from Shropshire she developed expertise by working in NHS community and inpatient substance misuse services. Gemma relocated to London in 2015 and moved to the private sector where she worked at one of the country's leading private mental health hospitals. Here she worked alongside leaders in their field treating the full spectrum of acute mental health conditions and witnessed first hand the delivery of the latest evidence based treatments. In 2018 to broaden her nursing experience further, Gemma moved into the role of clinical nurse advisor which took her into different NHS trusts across the south of England. In addition to this she has also worked within a private occupational therapy team and facilitated group therapy sessions. Gemma has always been and remains passionate about accessible high quality mental health services which led her to launch MindUnity.
